To Infinity and Into Space?
Today NASA announced that on the upcoming Shuttle mission, they would have a very special plastic guest by the name of Buzz Lightyear. I don’t think Zurg (pictured), Sworn Enemy of the Galactic Alliance (Buzz’s Employer), would like this idea at all. This is being done in conjunction, of course, with the Walt Disney
Company who is opening a brand new ride, Toy Story Mania at their “Hollywood Studios” park in Orlando on the very same date, May 31st, as the launch of the Shuttle.
I gather from the promotional video on NASA’s website, that they will be updating us on the status of Buzz once he is in space. My guess is that it would be one of those things where they pose him at various locations on the Shuttle and International Space Station, then post pictures of him to their site. But I think this is a very cool advertising venture for Disney and could possibly yield them some cool results.
